- It is the discretion of Santa Monica Paws to grant refunds if they find suitable once 48 hour grace period has expired. All dogs trained by Santa Monica Paws Team Members, must wear a martingale collar, or one of our GPS tracking collars to assure proper monitoring to assure 100% safety measures are in place.
- Due to our back to back bookings, we may arrive at your home within 15 minutes before or after your scheduled appointment.
- Once your appointment begins all pre-paid fees that you have provided to Santa Monica Paws are non-refundable.
- Training Packages are time sensitive and do not roll over once they expire.
- Please note all pictures & videos taken by our staff of your pets will be used for training and marketing purposes. Staff & Client pictures, video, etc. are property of Santa Monica Paws. If you wish to opt out, please let us know before your service begins.

- You must complete a Daycare Meet & Greet or Behavior Modification Initial Evaluation (Temperament Test) prior to participation in daycare
- All Daycare applicants are required to submit our Pet Sitting Waiver Form prior to participating in daycare.

- Daycare hours of operation (10am-4:30pm PST) and try to stay within these hours when scheduling your pup’s daycare
- All overtime daycare hours prior to 10am or after 4:30pm will be subject to a $15 overage fee (per hour).
- Same-day daycare bookings of New Customers are up to the discretion of Santa Monica Paws Team Members and may be subject to a $15 inconvenience fee.
- Additional dog households will receive a discounted rate
- It is required for all dogs in our daycare program to wear a “safety” Martingale collar and leash at all times, and if off leash, a GPS tracking collar may be needed to assure proper monitoring should pup break away during, enrichment training. This assures safe return in an emergency situation.
- Please give 24-78 hours notice when booking daycare to allow us time to develop a schedule for each of our customers.
- Pick-up/Drop off fees for single service daycare ($20 R/T within 5 mile radius, $40 R/T outside 5 mile radius)
- One-Way = Pick-up or drop-off.
- Round Trip = Pick-up and drop-off (same day only).
- All pick-up/drop-off times on behalf of Santa Monica Paws transportation services are estimated times within a 30 minute window.
- Overage fees apply when you pickup and drop off your dog beyond our regular business hours.
- If we cannot get into your home to pick up or drop off your dog and if we cannot get a hold of you we will wait up to 10 minutes free of charge. Every minute we wait beyond the 10 minute grace period, will cost $1.00 per minute.
- Photo & video updates will be provided to you throughout the day at gratis and will be promoted via our Social Media channels
- Daycare can be redeemed up to 5 days per week between the hours of 10am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
- Fridays are reserved only for residents of Playa Vista, Marina Del Rey, Playa Del Rey, Mar Vista, and Venice.
- Daycare days cannot be carried over or credited if not used within the week of payment. A Daycare Meet & Greet or Behavior Modification Temperament Test will need to take place to determine liability and temperament of pup to be considered for re-entry into program-NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Daycare Packages (seasonal offering only) that lapse due to unforeseen circumstances are set to expire no more than 4 months after your first day is redeemed. Any remaining days will automatically be forfeited

- BOARDING CHECK-OUT POLICY: Check out time is 9AM-11:00am.
- BOARDING CHECK-IN POLICY: Check in time is between 9AM-11AM or between 6PM-10PM
- All Pet Sitting & Boarding fees for services must be paid before services are rendered. We do not take partial payments and we do not collect payment after the Pet Sitting or Boarding Service is complete.
- Acceptable forms of Payment: Cash, Zelle: to pets@santamonicapaws, Apple Pay (phone number will be provided), PayPal Invoice (plus 4% fee), and credit card (plus 4% fee) Credit cards are accepted only for extended stays of 10 days or more)
- We will end the overnight stay at 11:00am on the day you return, but no later than 12:00pm. To avoid extra overage fees, we encourage you to return before 12pm, or you’ll be subject to an additional half or full day fee.
- All dogs that we Pet Sit or Board must wear our “safety Martingale Collar, identity name tag & dog Tag License, and leash, (GPS tracking collar is optional but highly recommended), to assure proper monitoring should pup break away during their time in our care. This assures a safe return to prevent any emergency situations.
- We take bookings up to 12 months in advance.
- Reservations must be made no less than 7 days prior to your dog’s stay
- Pick-up/Drop off fee ($20 R/T inside of our 5 mile radius, $40 R/T outside of our 5 mile radius)

- For all overnight pet sitting bookings at your home, please allow your Pet Sitter an additional 30 minute buffer time to arrive.
- All major Holidays will be subject to a higher Holiday Rate.
- NOTE: All credit card purchases will incur a 4% processing fee.
- Termination of Boarding/Pet sitting: the owner of the dog(s) may have the animal withdrawn from boarding at any time. Once payment has been received, you have 24 hours to cancel to receive a full refund prior to stay. Please note, all fees must be paid, and a binding Pet Sitting/Boarding Agreement Waiver has been signed; before stay can begin.
- All fees are non-refundable once the stay has begun. It is the discretion of Santa Monica Paws to grant refunds if they find suitable once 24 hour grace period has expired.
- We do our best to make sure that your pet and all your property is clean when you return home.

Overnight Pet Sitting Stays:
Extended Care (8+ hours)
Nightly rates are based on a 24 hour time period from drop-off to pick-up. The following extended care rates may apply for each pet on the booking if the end time on the final day of the stay is more than 2 hours later than the start time on the first day of the stay. This ensures that sitters are compensated for their additional time.
2-8 additional hours: +50% of the nightly rate.
8+ additional hours: +100% of the nightly rate.
If you have paid for your service ahead of time, and you cancel prior to service being rendered, partial refunds (50%) are given if the cancellation is made at least 4 days prior to the start of a reservation. This process could take up to 30 days to process.
We do not give refunds for same day bookings (Pet Sitting: Drop -In Visits for Cats & Dogs & Over night Boarding), Daycare, Light Grooming, 1:1 Private Training Sessions, and Board & Train).
We reserve the right to end Training and Pet Sitting jobs if it is determined that we cannot help you or that your dog is a hazard or safety concern for us (non-refundable). No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within the 3 day (72 hours) window, including same day cancellations.
No refunds will be issued for same day cancellations. A credit will be given towards future services. Pop-Up Daycare/Bootcamp Enrichment Packages, Grooming, and all Private Training sessions can be terminated at any time, however, they are final sale and no refunds will be given once payment has been made, and at least one session has been granted.
We reserve the right to cancel a reservation and to refuse any customer we deem unsuitable or that puts ourselves or our clients in jeopardy. If for any reason there become large gaps in pup attendance, a re-evaluation to determine temperament and sociability, is required due to the disruption that comes with pups who miss critical socialization development when reintroduced to a socialized pack.

24 Hour Policy
In an effort to improve our dog training services, cat sitting, pet daycare & pet boarding and in an attempt to ensure timely care of all clients, the following cancellation policy will be implemented as of July 16th, 2017. All appointments made will be confirmed 1 day in advance to improve scheduling and quality of service.
If you wish to cancel or re-schedule your appointment, please call us at least 24 -hours prior to your scheduled appointment. A same day cancellation fee of $100.00 will be applied to your ongoing bill if you fail to cancel or show up for any service appointment.
Please attempt to show up on the day of your appointment in a timely manner, so we can provide improved service for you and other patrons. Service areas vary and include Playa Vista, Santa Monica, and Marina del Rey.
Refunds:
Termination of Training: the owner of the dog(s) may have the animal withdrawn from training at any time. Once Training has begun, all fees have been paid, and a binding Training or Pet Sitting Agreement has been signed; all fees are non-refundable.
It is the discretion of SMP Paws to grant refunds if they find suitable.
